Okay, there's this thing thats mentioned in the Shopaholic books (I'm sure you girls read it) and it's called a Manhattan Onceover. Its funny how nowadays loads of people do the "Manhattan Onceover" and then say hi to you or smile, but why should it be called the Manhattan Onceover when it happens in Brunei as well? So why not the Brunei Onceover!
This whole 'Onceover' thing is weird, makes you wonder why people do it. It makes you self-conscious sometimes. Is it, because you've committed some fashion faux-pas? Or do you have some sort of food or something stain on your clothes? Should you stare back? Or should you just walk on. We all do it sometimes, but why? I have no idea. It does happen a lot in Brunei though. Whether there's a sense of hostility or envy or just plain fascination, it happens. In Gadong, everywhere.
Anyway, even though school's meant to be a better place for me to study without the distraction of technology at home, I'm too busy browsing online for clothes, shoes and accesories. I mean, you have to get a few ideas for our upcoming 'Soiree Enchante'! So these are what I've found so far. Its not really relevant to our outfits for the prom but I still love these looks.
These are from Bottega Veneta. I love the clutch on the bottom right, the details (if you could only see up close) are gorgeous.
This is from Ralph Lauren, one of their spring looks. Its a two piece, a top and a floral swishy skirt. Not so big about the headpiece but I love the outfit.
I loove the print of this one. All three of these looks are from Ralph Lauren. I love how they paired this paler tangerine yellow or a pale mustard yellow colour with black.
I really need to start studying now. Toodles!
