you're perfect for me.

So I watched Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging twice yesterday. I did it because I couldn't go to watch the Rimula Finals (or Brunei Cup as they called it). Weird how the Singapore Stingers and Korean players aren't Asian. Anyway, I heard Singapore won so good enough.

AND I've JUST found out who won the Men's Volleyball for the Olympics, NOT BRAZIL. WHAT THE FUCK? WHYY. The Americans won. GOD I thought Brazil played so much better! I'm really sad. First, I missed the finals altogether and the team I really rooted for lost. LOST. But Brazil won in the Women's. The Brazilian female volleyball players on that team were great as well. But I liked the men better, I loved their teamwork.

SIGH (I'll go all emo now). Anyway, back to the movie. I really liked it actually, it made me laugh and it made me cry. Maybe you guys wont like it, but its okay man, I like it. Oh my god, I love you Robbie. I swear, the guys in the movie are hot. You have to watch the movie though, dont go and google them or anything. WATCH THE MOVIE. Turns out Dave The Laugh is only a year older than I am. And Robbie is only two years older. GOD they're cute. But I dont like Robbie's voice, but I love the way he looks. I love Tom's voice, Tom is hot too. Surprise surprise, he doesnt sound hot in the book. Robbie seriously sounds like some Sex God in the book, but isnt really in the movie. He's just luscious ;) Robbie is a bassist, mmm yummy. I love musicians, rocker boys. Hahahahahaha

I couldn't find many pictures of tom though, so I just tried to use print-screen and stuff. But there's this one scene, where Tom was playing football with his button-down shirt wiiide open. He's got a fit body, siiiiiiiigh.

God they are fit.He looks creepy in this picture but wot-evahhhhhhhh right?Oh my god, Robbie Robbie Robbie <3Dave is so cute! God I really like their school uniform.
AWESOME, Gossip girl is back on September the 1st ;)

you make me a very happy happy munchkin.

God thank you ALL for making my day. The calls, greets, texts, songs, hugs and everything. I'm feeling so content right now, despite my day. I'm genuinely shocked by the number of people that knew and wished me. Especially a big thank you to those who greeeted me overseas. I love you all. :)

Come on, I'll tell you about my birthday. What did Yesmean do on her birthday. She played netball. I dropped by school so that I could photocopy my IC for netball. Then I turn up at the common room and already, there's a birthday song. I always feel really embarrassed during songs, it makes my eyes prick. We won our first game 8-4, but the next two games we lost. I still dont understand why. We really should've won the second game that we lost. Its really frustrating how the refs dont know the rules and they keep missing big things. But I guess we had to play to the whistle. Adapt and everything.

And finally, lunch time came. We had nearly 4 hours as our lunch break. So Min's driver took Lorna, Raf, Ama, Keagen, Min and I all to Gadong. It was fun sitting at the back with Lorna. Hahahaha special sisters! We ate cheap food, Jolibee man. Though McD's is much better. Raf and I just DDR-ed for a bit, just to try it out after not playing for AGES. Gosh I love it when it goes fast, but it fucking hurts after if you play barefoot! Then we dropped Min off at Escapades and I just said hi to the people there, freaking Jean was shouting so loud HAHAA. And the rest of us went to Coffee Bean after running through the pouring rain. It was FREEZING. So the hot vanilla tasted perfect :)

Then when Mrs C came to coach us in the afternoon, we didnt lose any games. Brilliant :D I felt really good about those last 3 games. I guess we learned to adapt to their rules and shit like that. Bruneian netball. Oh we ended up getting 3rd in our group. But seriously, I reckon thats good enough. I mean SO long without playing netball and we already did quite well. Ooh, and THANK GOD we dont have to go back and play tomorrow. Free T's! :D

But I am going back tomorrow, I've volunteered to help with the presentations. So I get more CAS hours. Turns out I'm back on the National Netball Team! :D Great huh, freak I cant wait to get more fit. Anyway, you girls played brilliantly today especially towards the end. I mean, come on we havent played for so long. And we kept our cool!

Ama's nails. HAHA
The size 36 shirts that the boys had to wear. HAHA
I'M FROWNING! FINALLY.
HAHAHA Ama's face.
HOLY SHIT, Rais tells me I got wished on the Radio? Awww.
Thank you again guys. :)

the surface meaning and the hidden meaning.

Hello to you. :)

Today was an okay day. I changed from HL Bio back to SL, Maths was okay today, and Geo was just funny as usual. It's mainly because we've got a good class and Mr F (Flanagan) is awesome and has a good sense of humour. I'm getting pretty addicted to the daily 'eat one paddle pop for lunch' routine thing. Its not that they're super good or something, its just nice on a hot summer's day (which is nearly everyday).

We had our auditions for the school musical today. It was so nerve-wracking! We only heard the song like once, and had to sing it right after. I auditioned for one of the roles. I hope I get it though :( She's got her own song to sing alone, which I'm pretty scared about because I am definitely NOT a singer. But I'm okay on the whole acting factor. I felt so stupid when I asked really dumb questions before I started reading my lines. I knew all the teachers who were in the audition well but it just made me even more nervous. I'm not usually scared about making a fool of myself because I do that a lot anyway, but I hate it when I'm put on the spot or put under pressure. I crack under that.

I cant wait for tomorrow, first day of TOK and I've got a free periods 3 & 4 :) I get to talk to Allen! God I've really missed him. Silly boy doesnt check his email so I cant email him. Our birthdays are soon so I get an excuse to call him.

My posts are really mundane right now, its just that a lot of the things I wrote were those 'you have to be there' kind of moments. It's okay, I've got some pictures for today :) The Jordan basketball team came to school today. I just had a sudden burst of guts so I asked if I could take a picture with them. Because they were so damn tall. And the one who heard me did! He took a picture of me too with his camera. I was like aww so flattered. HAHA I'll ask more of them tomorrow. They seem like cool guys. Some of them aren't too bad looking either ;) Too bad they werent the guy who heard me though. S'okay, there's always tomorrow. During my FREE! :D

Ann and Jan during their presentations in English, they did so well! Pressure, pressure.

It's time to go catch up on Project RUNWAY! I've missed quite a bit.
I swear, I love dressing up for school as if I'm going out to Gadong. It's like continuous mufti days. It still hasnt hit me yet! :O

saved by the bell.

First day of class! Hahaha and I miss my first fucking class. I swear people said that whoever was taking AB for a language had a free. And turns out I had Malay. HAHAHAA so much for classes. And then we had English, I’m in Mrs Hollis’ class. First day and we got a whole oral presentation to do for Wednesday. THIS Wednesday. On some poem that we’ve never read. SIGH, shit I don’t have INTERNET :’( I need to do research! Economics was okay, just so repetitive. Did the same sheet we did in Year10. And stuff like that, but the new people hadn’t done it so I guess it’s okay. First lesson of Higher Maths was easy, just stuff about radians. Our book is twice as thick as the other class. So happy, so far we’ve got brand new books :D And I’ve got maths homework already. SIGH. It’s not much so it’s okay.

I’m sore here and there, its not too bad. Had worse so I guess I’ll get used to it. Had netball training today for the tournament this Friday (on my birthday, what a birthday it’s going to be). Our new GK/GS is the new super tall girl in Year8 :D Taller than Ms Duce. She seems really sweet, she did great today! First time (I think) and she already shot pretty well. Ooh what I’m not used to is just how much it itches EVERYWHERE. Not cool, I just keep scratching and scratching that it really hurts now. Raf and Jo says you should spit on your bites. Does that work? :O HAHA

Tomorrow is Yellow Day and Pink day is on Thursday by the way guys.
I can’t wait to get back on football! I’m doing badminton this year as well. Might as well play it seriously since I play with Lester sometimes anyway. I hope I dont suck too bad :(

I'm also seriously not really looking forward to the Netball Tournament this Friday. Some birthday that's going to be.

i hate those crappy tents.

What a weekend. I’m saying that in like.. such a monotonous way. Seriously its like how the guy woke us up at 5am in the fucking morning on the first night with a HUGE LOUDASS alarm, saying ‘Fire. Fire. There is Fire.’ HAHAHAHA what a fucking moment. The girls went insane (myself included, I admit. I thought they were serious for a second). The boys were sleeping as if they were knocked out. Hahahaa MrKlein included. Ms Tracy was like shouting at us man. HAHA Mr Klein thought they were speaking Spanish. Like ‘Hola, Hola Holaa!’ HAHAHAHA

What happened. Okay, Day 1. We get to the jetty and only left the place like half an hour later because Zim (with the A) forgot his passport/IC. Hahahahaha then the watertaxi just made us all sleepy. Got to the place and got into our groups, and just spent the day listening to talks like that First Aid Talk that had nothing to do with First Aid (HAHA) and playing seriously weird games to get to know each other. Like the one where we talked about where we were from, our name and what our favourite FRUIT was. HAHAHAHA like what the fuck? And we tossed around this Blues Clues toy. HAHAHAHA. Most random shit ever. Then we went on the flying fox later on. It was great, I just ran off the freaking platform, it was so exhilarating! Slow at the end though, I swear it must be nasty to be watching from the bottom. The harnesses were in the most awkward position, even for girls. It reveals all your ass fats and hugs your crotch. It’s so disturbing to see, especially for the guys. HAHAHAA.

yeahh, and thats our dining hall.

Anyway, we learnt to set up a tent and we lost one peg. About a while into the search for it on the ground, Azim says: ‘hey guys I think its stuck in the ground’. HAHAHA no shit! HAHAH so funny. The game we played at night was fucking hilarious. When you think about it, it sounds really childish and silly. But when you play, its really fun. We were all like, I’m surprised I had fun. Haha like you just play Scissors, Paper, Stone with one another of your ‘type’. First you’re an egg, if you win then you become a chicken, then you become a bird, then superman, then more than superman and you just stand around and cross your arms. If you lose, you go back to the previous stage. HAHA so funny to see everyone like chickens and eggs. Even superman was funny. I felt so much like a kid. It’s like releasing all your stress, so silly.

Second day, we already learnt all the trekking things the day before and everything. So we go trekking. We take a boat ‘Temuai’ (long boat) to the place we start trekking from and we had to trek back to the main camp. Fuck, the trails are not even AT ALL. Some were freaking nearly vertical slopes. Uphill and downhill. So not cool. Rais fell the most, fucking funny man. HAHAA I reckon we went the wrong way one time, and found the ‘new trail’ that was meant to be a road sooner or later. Shit so fun sliding down the mud roads on your ass. HAHAHA

that gorgeous butterfly that Haji caught for me to take the photo of.

Holy fucketty fucking shit. It took us like more than 6 hours to get there. It was HELL. Once we nearly got to the campsite, it starts raining. So all our tents were wet inside. Our 6 man tent was like.. dripping. HAHA karma bites us back in the ARSE for being greedy. But we had 5 people in our 6 man tent including all the bags, so its okay. We had to cook in the rain under our ponchos and we had like bugs inside our Maggi Mee. We all ate crap fake-copying-Twix lookalike chocolate bars and cans of crap tasting tuna for Lunch and as snacks. The Maggi Mee tasted so heavenly. Being in the jungle seriously changes you. Hahaha and the river was our shower. It wasn’t even a river. It was a tiny stream with ice cold water that felt amazing. Ann and Azim’s mee was the worst AHAHAH I asked Min to pass me some water to cook their stuff with, then she passed us a bottle and I started pouring it into our portable pots and fire thing. Then Azim flashes the torch and says ‘why’s the water orange’ then we’re all like SHIT IT’S FUCKING TANG’S! (Tang is a pineapple-flavoured powder you pour into water for flavour) then we start pouring normal water. Ann said it tasted weird. HAHA Bugs flew in. Seriously, we just scooped it out man. Didn’t give a shit. A spider went in just when Azim started scooping. Didn’t even scoop it out, just avoided it.

Meant to dig a fucking shithole to pee and take a dump in, but I don’t think any of the groups did it. I had to lean on our backpacks (which were SUPER SUPER heavy) and they were all wet but I had no space. So my clean shirt and pants were wet. And I got mosquito bites on my ass man, like how the HELL? Up my long pants? DUDE. That’s just WRONG. And there was a HUGE root coming out of the ground that just stuck right into my back and my tailbone. Oh my god I couldn’t sleep  I wanted to cry. We slept at 6ish at night, and we woke up and I remember I was like,

Me: Hey Min, what time do you think it is.
Min: I don’t know.
Me: I bet it’s like 5 or 6am. YES going home soon.
Min: Naww I bet its like 4 man.

Then suddenly Arjun says: It’s 12.35.
And we all start swearing.

And at around 6am, Rais goes: Fire. Fire. Fire. There is Fire. And wakes us ALL up. GRRRRRRRRAWWWWWWRRRRRRRRR what a boob! Thank god it only took us 30 minutes from our campsite back to the main place. Not like the trek to the camp. Fucking long and tiring. Kayaking this afternoon was really fun, but really tiring too. My arms must’ve lost like a tiny bit of its jelly from all that paddling. I think I pissed Min off man. HAAHAHAHA the water was so nice when you spray it onto your face. Arjun fell off then the whole boat did this whole 45degree slant thing because Jeff was on the back and then the whole kayak just tipped over, and they capsized. HAHAHA in the middle of a rapid. Fucking hilarious.

So fucking happy to be back home. I think all of us took like one shower in the entire 3 day trip and I don’t think any of us took a shit man. In three days. AHAHAHAH. Constipation awaits us all back in Bandar.

yeah that was our bathroom, pretty gross already. Imagine what the fucking shithole wouldve been like.

Bye! I’ve missed you guys :( and Bandar, surprisingly. And most definitely my bed.
FUCK I MISSED THE DAMN VOLLEYBALL FINALS :'( I LOVE YOU BRAZIL.

fly baby, fly!

HEY, see you all back in Bandar on Sunday or on Monday ;) we’ll all be in Temburong doing whatever shit they have prepared for us. Like they said: ‘Expect the unexpected’. Yeah. Sure will. Shit, my bag’s heavy. I wish it would just rain. The sun’s so fecking hot! Then we can all use our PONCHOS! Hahahaha. School yesterday was okay, just sat around and listened to people talk. No lessons until Monday, and still I’m actually looking forward to classes :O Can’t wait to see who’s in my classes.

you hear it everywhere: back to school.

I'm seriously neglecting my entire blog. It’s so sad. I’ve got like no readers. HAHA but honestly I don’t give a dog’s shit. I’ve been back from Hong Kong ages ago and the first day of school has been not too bad. If you could call being stuck in class with Mr Rieger for 4 periods and then going for talks in the library throughout the rest of the school day ‘not too bad’ then yeah okay. But I felt so glad to see the familiar old faces again. I really missed that. It was cool to see the new faces too. We’ve got quite a few new people. I’m super excited for our temburong trip.

Hong Kong has been okay, I’m really glad to be back. It’s so nice to be back at school and seeing everyone, wave at people, say hi back at people. Gosh seriously, being at school and at ISB for so long, its like my comfort zone. I can’t imagine not being there, as much I’d love not to be at ISB sometimes.

Next blog will be better. Seriously, I just want to hurry up and update. HAHA.
FUCK YEAH! BRAZIL BEAT CHINA IN THE QUARTER FINALS! Suck on that CHINA.

i am going to stop and smell the roses.

HEY FROM HONKY!

I'm at my aunt's right now, she's cooking some BIG ass dinner now for all of us. Like on my first night here, Tiger Prawns, Huge steamed fish, 7 other dishes and two cakes for dessert. One blueberry cheesecake mixed with spongecake for the middle part. I'll upload a picture later. Then this amazing lemon cheesecake. I love my aunt's cooking :) Mmm.. It feels great to be online though, have someone to talk to who understands me, who shares my sense of humour etc. SIGH feels so nice.

Shopping here WAS a disappointment until I really started looking. I got new jeans (FINALLY) from Zara and from Esprit. And all this great cheap stuff. And some branded stuff too. New Agnes B glasses! I lost my pair. HAHA. I got another pair of gladiators, wedges this time. Great, one more to add to my collection. Got ones of all the basic colours. Have a dark silver one, a white one (that made Darren think I was going to war) and now a pair of black ones.

I actually miss poor ol' Boobernei. Naw I just miss the people. I've finally planned out my birthday thing, and god its going to be so repetitive. But its okay, I hope it turns out well. People are Mahjong-ing here, I have NO idea how to play. Anyway, Cuba vs China women's volleyball on wednesday night last week. Hilarious because EVERYONE was cheering for China, except for me. HAHAA it was like huge cheers for China when they scored, then just me. Alone. 'Wooooo Go Cuba!' then I get all these stares, then everyone bursts out laughing. At me. SIGH. I still think Cuba deserved their win. 4th set was soo nervewracking. It went on and on, both teams kept on getting and losing their advantage. So it ended up being 32 - 30 to Cuba. And Cuba won the game 3 sets to 2. So crazy because China were up by 2 sets in the beginning, though I knew it was because Cuba kept on making so many mistakes.

Gosh, do I love hongkong or what. All this food is going to make me INFLATE.

Holy shit, 5 days til school.

a breath of fresh air.

The weirdest thing, I saw white guys in Kwai Fong. Like students, DUDE you NEVER see white people in Kwai Fong! Anyway, so unfair, some hot white dude asked my mom for help or something at the Immigration. WHY, why couldnt I be in my mom's spot instead!

Hey! The eye candy talent here has improved compared to the last time I came. Saw a pair of cute chinese guys on the MRT. Next subject, you know what really pissed me off. Mmkay, so first Arthur doesnt get me Breaking Dawn from Singapore JUST CAUSE I said I preferred hard-back when he asked, and he didnt get me the book anyway because he thought I only wanted hard-back specifically. THEN even though he lent me his copy to read first, I wait to this Hongky trip to buy my own copy. And when I arrive at the bookstore in Festival Walk, THE BOOK HASNT FUCKING ARRIVED YET.

Ooh you know whats a great drink to drink? The repetition sounds weird. The LEMON TEA!

So good to drink when you're out and about. I dont know why 7-Eleven never has cold ones though. They're always at room temperature, but they're in those drink fridge things.

Ooh my aunt's bird talks. And it eats Thai Chilli's. And it's fucking loud. I wish it would just shut up. And the TV's showing of the Olympics is so stupid, it only shows anything that China's in. I'm missing all the volleyball matches! NOO. Michael Phelps is still winning golds though, thats obvious. Freak in the water. He's a fish. He could be some sort of Merman.

You know what just came to my head? Once I get back from Hongkong, I have to unpack, and like a day or two later, I have to repack everything again for Temburong. It feels GREAT! I have a gooooood feeling about the end of August and September.

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

leaving on a jet plane.

hey again! I'm leaving for hongkong in a few hours so I wont be blogging much for a while.
I cant wait for the shopping again, but I'm really really super sad that I'll be missing so much of the volleyball and the olympics :( like the swimming. To see vee as well. So I'm really praying they'll show it on TV over there in Hongky.
I'll get back by the beginning of next week, all ready for school (sigh).
Gots loads to do when I get back.
See you all soon! :)

you underestimate me.

why are you underestimating me! dude. please, out with the old, in with the new ;) come on, IB. show me what you've got. Including all the new people coming in, which means new people in my life. And all the responsibilities and everything? I'm actually really looking forward to it.

and why do people think I'm so fragile! takes more than that to knock me down. plus people are so hesitant and everything when they say something. Like just SPIT it out! hahahahaha gosh I feel so elated. something has just made me feel very smug. Hahahaha it's funny how it sounds so silly now. so everyone can go do as they please, which gives me the right to do as I please. doesnt that so much better? and none of all this behind talk. so silly now that I think of it. how up your face.

I'm bored now. Man, I do have a super-short-attention span.
Anyway, off to see some sexy athletes in the olympics ;)

hey, don't buy the promises!

Kirsty Coventry beat Stephanie Rice in 400m IM, broke world record for 100m backstroke. 200m freestyle men MICHAEL PHELPS when he was announced, the crowd broke into this huge roar. He lost to Peter Vandaakay but people think he can be faster. He uses his advantage of his powerful butterfly kicks and stays longer underwater from the tumbleturns. 100m butterfly finals women. 100m men breastroke finals, swimmers have nice bodies. win to Japan, new world record. Volleyball womens, Serbia vs. Algeria. 25-14, 25-13, 25-13. So Serbia wins 3 sets to nil.

Anyway, not many interesting matches or competitions today, so I've been catching up with the Season 5 of Project Runway. In the first episode, they went to the grocery store for materials. I liked Daniels, he did this cute little cocktail dress made out of blue plastic cups. I thought Kelli's creation was brilliant. She dyed some sort of material, and used some sort of paper cups for the bust area, I thought that part was a little weird. And there was this studded part made out of some sort of stationary. I forgot what those things are called though. They brought back Austin Scarlett from Season 1 as a guest judge so that was good. A lot of people used table cloths, which was not very creative. Stella's 'garbage bag' creation was so tacky. It was so messy and unprofessional. It looked like a garbage bag, so it should belong to the trash. Honestly. But Jerry's creation was as bad as well. It looks so.. bad. There's no shape or silhoutte of any sort. It's just bunchy material everywhere. The gloves he used were like.. those yucky yellow gloves you might use to clean toilets or something. And he was quite confident about his creation though. It's weird. I wish Stella would get out soon. All she wants to create is something with leather, so it seems. It's like, such a one-track mind kind of thing.

In order: Daniel's, Kelli's, Stella's, Joe's.

Episode 2 i didnt watch, because it didnt work. But oh well, err moving on. Episode 3, they had to create a look for a night out inspired by New York at night. I really liked Leanne's two piece. It was just a nice sleeveless blouse, but the skirt was gorgeous. I would so wear it. Then there's Terri's backless dress with pants. She took the concept of the challenge and did it well but I wouldnt wear it. Kenley's dress won, it's a mix of prints and materials. I thought it was okay, but not many people would wear it yknow? But I liked the way she made the inspiration very obvious in her dress. And it's like, wow she made that in one day? Thats crazy.

From L-R: Kenley's, Leanne's, Terri's.

Episode 4, challenge was to create a look for the team of American Women for the Opening Ceremony of the Summer Olympics. Like Nina Garcia said, I just dont understand how some people didnt understand that you have to look smart and sporty. Have some sort of athletic twist to the outfit. Like Jennifer, her creation was.. like you're just going out to some nice tea party. So irrelevant. I thought Daniel's wasnt THAT bad. It did look like a cocktail dress but I thought that the colours made it look even fancier. I thought Kenley's two-piece creation (blouse and a plaid skirt) was more irrelevant. I mean, the plaid looks purple. It's not 'America' at all! And Stella, I mean I didn't like her leather vest thing and pants. To me, it just screams 'I'm provacative and aggressive. *ROAR*' or something like that. HAHA it looks so inappropriate. And it doesnt look smart. Plus if you have that for the women, what are the men going to wear. Leather Biker jackets and black pants? With that red, silver and blue thing at the hems? My god, the American team would look like they're some huge gang of punks in bikes.

From L-R: Daniel's, Jennifer's, Kenley's, Stella's.

But ones I did like, I guess Joe's one was very appropriate. His creation looked sporty, smart and it looked very professional. I thought it was very fitting for the American team. Then there's Terri's. She had a ruffled neck-piece, a blazer (I loved the blazer), a stripped strapless top in the american colours and white pants. I thought it was very chic. The traditional 'blazer' thing going on, and its very much suitable for America. But I dont know, I thought Korto's one was the best. I'm so glad she won the challenge. The jacket was sporty, and it was very suitable for the weather conditions so you didnt really have to take it off. It looks very professional and also very chic. I would wear it even if I wasnt in the olympics. And it's modern. I think it would look great on an athletic body. I liked that she used white. And just added a bit of red and blue. It looks so much cleaner

From L-R: Korto's, Terri's, Joe's.
