hey, don't buy the promises!

Kirsty Coventry beat Stephanie Rice in 400m IM, broke world record for 100m backstroke. 200m freestyle men MICHAEL PHELPS when he was announced, the crowd broke into this huge roar. He lost to Peter Vandaakay but people think he can be faster. He uses his advantage of his powerful butterfly kicks and stays longer underwater from the tumbleturns. 100m butterfly finals women. 100m men breastroke finals, swimmers have nice bodies. win to Japan, new world record. Volleyball womens, Serbia vs. Algeria. 25-14, 25-13, 25-13. So Serbia wins 3 sets to nil.

Anyway, not many interesting matches or competitions today, so I've been catching up with the Season 5 of Project Runway. In the first episode, they went to the grocery store for materials. I liked Daniels, he did this cute little cocktail dress made out of blue plastic cups. I thought Kelli's creation was brilliant. She dyed some sort of material, and used some sort of paper cups for the bust area, I thought that part was a little weird. And there was this studded part made out of some sort of stationary. I forgot what those things are called though. They brought back Austin Scarlett from Season 1 as a guest judge so that was good. A lot of people used table cloths, which was not very creative. Stella's 'garbage bag' creation was so tacky. It was so messy and unprofessional. It looked like a garbage bag, so it should belong to the trash. Honestly. But Jerry's creation was as bad as well. It looks so.. bad. There's no shape or silhoutte of any sort. It's just bunchy material everywhere. The gloves he used were like.. those yucky yellow gloves you might use to clean toilets or something. And he was quite confident about his creation though. It's weird. I wish Stella would get out soon. All she wants to create is something with leather, so it seems. It's like, such a one-track mind kind of thing.

In order: Daniel's, Kelli's, Stella's, Joe's.

Episode 2 i didnt watch, because it didnt work. But oh well, err moving on. Episode 3, they had to create a look for a night out inspired by New York at night. I really liked Leanne's two piece. It was just a nice sleeveless blouse, but the skirt was gorgeous. I would so wear it. Then there's Terri's backless dress with pants. She took the concept of the challenge and did it well but I wouldnt wear it. Kenley's dress won, it's a mix of prints and materials. I thought it was okay, but not many people would wear it yknow? But I liked the way she made the inspiration very obvious in her dress. And it's like, wow she made that in one day? Thats crazy.

From L-R: Kenley's, Leanne's, Terri's.

Episode 4, challenge was to create a look for the team of American Women for the Opening Ceremony of the Summer Olympics. Like Nina Garcia said, I just dont understand how some people didnt understand that you have to look smart and sporty. Have some sort of athletic twist to the outfit. Like Jennifer, her creation was.. like you're just going out to some nice tea party. So irrelevant. I thought Daniel's wasnt THAT bad. It did look like a cocktail dress but I thought that the colours made it look even fancier. I thought Kenley's two-piece creation (blouse and a plaid skirt) was more irrelevant. I mean, the plaid looks purple. It's not 'America' at all! And Stella, I mean I didn't like her leather vest thing and pants. To me, it just screams 'I'm provacative and aggressive. *ROAR*' or something like that. HAHA it looks so inappropriate. And it doesnt look smart. Plus if you have that for the women, what are the men going to wear. Leather Biker jackets and black pants? With that red, silver and blue thing at the hems? My god, the American team would look like they're some huge gang of punks in bikes.

From L-R: Daniel's, Jennifer's, Kenley's, Stella's.

But ones I did like, I guess Joe's one was very appropriate. His creation looked sporty, smart and it looked very professional. I thought it was very fitting for the American team. Then there's Terri's. She had a ruffled neck-piece, a blazer (I loved the blazer), a stripped strapless top in the american colours and white pants. I thought it was very chic. The traditional 'blazer' thing going on, and its very much suitable for America. But I dont know, I thought Korto's one was the best. I'm so glad she won the challenge. The jacket was sporty, and it was very suitable for the weather conditions so you didnt really have to take it off. It looks very professional and also very chic. I would wear it even if I wasnt in the olympics. And it's modern. I think it would look great on an athletic body. I liked that she used white. And just added a bit of red and blue. It looks so much cleaner

From L-R: Korto's, Terri's, Joe's.
